The crisis that erupted after Russia's invasion of Ukraine will not affect European Investment Bank (EIB) lending in Cyprus, EIB Vice-President Liliana Pavola said, with the bank's investments for 2022 estimated at €350 million.
"I do not believe that the current situation will affect (financing), on the contrary, we are ready to provide all the necessary support to Cyprus in critical sectors of the economy," Pavlova said at a joint press conference with Finance Minister Constantinos Petrides, who stressed that the Cypriot authorities do not consider at the moment that they need to diversify the country's development planning.
