The situation in Ukraine and its implications for the European Union were discussed at the one-day meeting of the EU's informal Economic and Financial Affairs Council (Ecofin) held in Paris on Friday. The Minister of Finance, Constantinos Petrides, was represented by Theodosis Tsiolas, DG Development of the Ministry of Finance.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Finance, the Ecofin Council met to discuss current geopolitical developments, in particular the situation in Ukraine and the implications for the European Union, showing its unity and solidarity with the Ukrainian people in relation to the Russian invasion.
