[CNA] Two people arrested for car arson in Nicosia

Police arrested two persons aged 27 and 28 years old, today, as part of an investigation into a case of vehicle arson.

According to a police statement, at around 2.50am today, information was received about a fire in a vehicle parked in an open area in Nicosia. The fire, which was extinguished by the Fire Service, caused extensive damage to the vehicle.

Further examinations carried out, it was reportedly determined that this was a malicious act.

To facilitate investigations, two persons aged 27 and 28 were arrested on court warrants and taken into custody. Nicosia CID is investigating the case.
