The Famagusta District Court today issued a five-day detention order against two more persons in connection with 70 cases of car theft and burglary.
The two were arrested yesterday, under court warrants, as part of an investigation into 70 cases of theft from cars and two cases of burglary and theft, committed in recent months in municipalities and communities in Famagusta district.
In a statement, the Communication Branch of the Police said that "before the Famagusta District Court today, the 18-year-old and the 20-year-old, who were arrested yesterday to facilitate interrogations in connection with a number of investigated cases of theft from cars and burglary of buildings, were brought before the Famagusta District Court for the issuance of a detention order.
