An Action Plan for the equal and meaningful participation of women in the Cyprus settlement process was agreed by the two leaders, Nicos Anastasiades and Ersin Tatar, according to a statement on Wednesday by the United Nations Press Representative in Cyprus, Alim Siddiq.
The statement said that in response to the UN Security Council's request in its resolution 2587 (2021), Greek Cypriot leader Nicos Anastasiades and Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar agreed on an Action Plan "on ways to ensure the full, equal and meaningful participation" of women in the Cyprus settlement process."
The Action Plan, it is reported, "was developed by the Technical Committee on Gender Equality and includes recommendations based on three key questions: How to ensure the full, equal and effective representation of women
