The significant reduction in turnover, profits and liquidity of small and medium-sized enterprises during the period of the Covid-19 pandemic, but without a noticeable reduction in the number of employees, showed a nationwide survey of the impact and consequences of the pandemic, March 2020 - December 2021, carried out by the GS POVEK in cooperation with the Bank of Cyprus and the Research Office of Retail Zoom.
Also, according to the results of the survey, businesses have mostly changed the way they operate, while the majority (83%) of the participants, micro and small businesses, consider the support measures from the state during the pandemic period as insufficient.
