Cyprus' transition to the digital era requires high levels of cybersecurity for all, President Anastasiades noted, who on Wednesday received the annual report of the Commissioner for Electronic Communications and Postal Regulation George Michaelides.
According to a written statement by Deputy Government Spokesperson Nivi Parisinou, the President of the Republic expressed his satisfaction with the work being done, stressing the importance of providing a high level of security in the electronic communications sector.
President Anastasiades asked to be kept informed, as the electronic communications sector and cybersecurity issues are of key importance to all Governments and contribute to the security of the country's economy and its development,
