Bank of Cyprus closed 2021 with an after-tax profit of €30 million. Returning to pre-pandemic levels, the Bank is laying the foundations for a return to dividend distribution and aims to further reduce NIM to 5% by the end of 2022.
According to a statement, recovering from the pandemic, Bank of Cyprus is the first Cypriot bank to achieve single-digit NIM in 2021, reaching 7.5% from 16% in 2020, following the sale of €1.33 billion of portfolios.
