There is great interest in hiring unemployed people in the Cypriot labour market as by 17 January 1,319 applications for hiring unemployed people had been submitted through the five different incentive schemes for hiring unemployed people run by the Ministry of Labour, Welfare and Social Insurance, demonstrating that the target set for hiring 1,450 unemployed people will be met.
At the same time, in addition to the Ministry of Labour's incentive plans, more than 3,000 contracts of asylum seekers for employment have already been sealed by the Ministry's Labour Department.
Specifically, in statements to CNA, the director of the Labor Department of the Ministry of Labor Alexander Alexandrou said that five projects are currently running, with a total budget of €14.5 million,
