[CNA] Towards full prevalence of the Omicron variant in Cyprus

The prevalence of the Omicron variant is almost complete in terms of coronavirus cases in Cyprus according to the latest data from the Ministry of Health.

In particular, on 21 January, of the 192 positive samples tested by sequencing, 165, representing 86% of the samples, were Omicron variant cases.

According to the Ministry of Health, of 133 samples in the community from 09/1/22 - 16/1/22, 126 samples were identified with the Omicron variant, 7 with the Delta variant, with the Omicron rate in the community being 94.7%.
