[CNA] TotalEnergies returns to profit in 2021, announcing 15-year record profits

French energy giant TotalEnergies announced a huge profit for 2021 on Wednesday as oil and gas prices soared, rebounding from last year's fall when the pandemic hit the global economy.

The company reported a net profit of $16 billion (14 billion euros) - the highest in at least 15 years - after a loss of $7.2 billion in 2020, when oil prices collapsed.
