A total of 2,035 checks and 24 complaints were made throughout Cyprus in the last 24 hours by the Police for the observance and implementation of the provisions of the Infectious Diseases Law.
The checks resulted in complaints against 15 persons and 9 establishments, where the corresponding fines were served, the largest of which amounts to €8,000 and concerns an establishment in Limassol.
Specifically, in Nicosia, 740 checks were carried out and 6 persons and 7 establishments were reported. In Limassol 185 checks were carried out and 1 establishment was reported. In Larnaca 327 checks were carried out and 1 person and 1 establishment were reported. In Paphos 112 checks were made and 1 person was reported, in Famagusta province 381 checks were made and 7 persons were reported, while in the Morphou area 154 checks were made without a complaint.
