The Limassol Municipality has postponed tonight's coronation ceremony of the new Carnival Queen, due to the developments in Ukraine.
At an extensive meeting this afternoon, the Limassol City Council decided to postpone tonight's festive event and, according to a statement, "the postponement was deemed necessary as a sign of respect and solidarity to our fellow citizens, who are suffering the suffering of the war in Ukraine".
Therefore, the public is requested not to go to the Pattihio Municipal Theatre of Limassol, where the ceremony was scheduled, which will take place at a time to be announced later.
