In the last 24 hours, the police responded to three calls due to the severe weather phenomena, mainly rainfall, in the districts of Nicosia, Paphos and Famagusta.
In a statement today, the Fire Brigade said that from 06:00 on 3 January 2022 until 06:00 on 4 February 2022, it responded to 25 calls for assistance, 14 fires, 9 special services, of which only 3 were related to natural disasters and 2 false calls.
The calls due to severe weather conditions, mainly rainfall, were related to the Nicosia, Paphos and Famagusta Districts, with the Fire Brigade responding to two incidents involving falling and moving trees in the Nicosia and Paphos Districts and one incident involving moving/dropping of non-durable materials in the Famagusta District.
