People who have received the booster dose of the Johnson & Johnson mono-dose vaccine and issued their certificates before 14 January are invited to re-issue their European digital certificate to ensure that it is listed in accordance with the revised European eHealth Network guidelines.

According to an announcement by the Ministry of State for Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, the way in which the booster dose of the Johnson & Johnson mono-dose vaccine is presented on the European Digital Certificates COVID (EUDCC) has been modified, which now shows the type of booster vaccine, followed by the coding 2/1 (corresponding to the number of doses received). This, he said, is in line with the revised European eHealth Network guidelines.
