A joint meeting on the issue of pensions was held this morning, at the offices of the PDOED, by the three educational organisations, OELMEK, OLTEK and PDOED together with PASYDY and the Cyprus Police Association (CPA).
In a statement to CNA, OELMEK President Kostas Hadjisavas said that during the meeting it was pointed out that there is a delay on the pension issue, reiterating that from 20 May 2021 when the relevant agreements were signed until today, the relevant legislation has not been forwarded to the Legal Service for legislative review.
"We have been informed that within the immediate next two or three days it will be signed by the Minister of Finance and will go to the Legal Service for legislative review," he concluded.
