A special and very special sailing event is expected to be hosted in Cyprus in 2022. Specifically, the Famagusta Yacht Club and the company Chesva 2.0 are organizing the First Champions Championship, where the 35 top optimist sailors of the world will be invited.
According to an announcement by the Cyprus Sailing Federation, the 2022 Chesva Regatta of Champions - The R.O.C., is the result of a four-year effort, which has finally reached the implementation phase.
The Championship of Champions is scheduled to take place in November this year.
According to the announcement, the 1st Champions' Championship will be held in Limassol. The event will last for a week with 4-5 days of racing, and a plethora of events.
