[CNA] The Volunteer Monument is an incentive to strengthen volunteering, according to the President who inaugurated it

The President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades expressed his certainty that the Volunteer Monument will serve as a reminder and motivation to take even more initiatives towards achieving a mission that unites and becomes an inspiration, action and force of altruism for all those in need of our fellow human beings.

At the unveiling of the Volunteer Monument in Makarios III Avenue in Limassol on Saturday, President Anastasiades noted that it is "a sign of gratitude towards volunteers because it pays the minimum but due tribute and gratitude to the person of each volunteer. He congratulated the Provincial Volunteer Coordinating Council for undertaking this initiative and made special mention of "the scapegoat, the initiator, to a man who truly dedicated his life to altruism, to volunteering
