The Union of Russian Athletes accuses the IOC and the Federations that excluded them due to the Russian military intervention in Ukraine of sports genocide against them
"Sport has always been an ambassador of peace and goodwill, creating opportunities to help resolve conflicts. This is the mission of the Olympic movement. That's what we thought until a few days ago and then the International Olympic Committee and a number of international federations, without any legitimacy and in violation of all legality, decided to deprive Russian and Belarusian athletes of the opportunity to participate in competitions," they said in a statement.
