The announcement of the tender for the construction of the Astromeritis - Evrychou intercity motorway, four lanes, approximately 11 km long and costing €89.250.000 million (including VAT), was announced on Wednesday by Transport, Communications and Works Minister Yannis Karousos, describing the project as a "top priority" for the Anastasiades Government.
According to a statement by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, the announcement of the notice was made in Galata in the presence of the Commissioner for the Development of Mountainous Areas Costas Kostas Hambiaouris and the community leaders of the villages of the Solea Complex, where the Minister of Transport presented the various stages related to the implementation of the project. The bidding period starts on 15 December 2021 and will end on 11 March 2022.
