The stock market showed losses on Wednesday. The General Index fell 0.23%, closing at 70.85 points, while the FTSE/CySE 20 Index closed at 42.56 points, recording a loss of 0.26%.

The daily turnover was €85,391.87.

Losses were recorded by the Main Market index at 0.65% and the Investment Companies index at 2.34%.
In contrast, the Alternative Market index rose marginally by 0.08%, while the Hotels index was unchanged.

Hellenic Bank attracted the most investor interest with €38,472.80 (down 2.21% - closing price €0.79), followed by Bank of Cyprus with €11,246.82 (up 0.92% - closing price €1.10), Petrolina with €10.553 (no change - closing price €1.20),
