The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth announced that due to restrictions and difficulties that arose during the pandemic, but also due to incomplete handling, it will not be possible this year to carry out the appropriate procedures and the relevant preparation in the desired and properly organized way, for the selection of the proposal for participation in the Venice Biennale 2022.
It also announces the conduct of an internal administrative investigation "in order to identify problems in the whole participation process and correct them".
The Ministry of Culture clarifies that the special advisory Selection Committee that has been appointed, found that with the manipulations that had been made previously, before the same was convened,
