On Thursday, February 24, a team of the Cyprus Scientific Technical Chamber met with the President of the Cyprus Energy Regulatory Authority Andreas Poullikkas and members of the Authority's Council, according to an announcement by ETEK.
As mentioned, the main topics of the meeting, which took place at the request of ETEK, were the apparent weaknesses of the 2018 RES Generation Plan, especially large photovoltaic parks, and the necessity of taking cross-sectoral measures, as well as the Chamber's concerns as to whether the expected competitive electricity market and the way it has been structured will lead in the short or medium term
