President Nicos Anastasiades chaired a wide-ranging meeting on the progress of the bills on the reform of the judiciary and the creation of the Anti-Corruption Authority at the Presidential Palace on Tuesday.
In a written statement, Deputy Government Spokesperson, Niovi Parisinou, said that at the beginning of the meeting, the President of the Supreme Court submitted a joint statement by the members of the House, in which they highlighted the positions of the Supreme Court, which remove many of the reservations expressed by political forces and members of the Legal Committee, while at the same time underlining the risks of collapse of the judicial system from any further delay in the approval of the proposed reform.
