The Presidency of the Republic today expressed its support for rare patients, with the symbolic illumination of the Presidential Palace in blue, in honour of the International Day of Rare Diseases.

The International Day was established by the European Organisation for Rare Diseases in 2008 and has since been commemorated on the last day of February every year.

During the lighting ceremony, the Director of the Press Office of the President of the Republic, Andreas Joseph, addressed the ceremony in the presence of the Pancyprian Alliance for Rare Diseases.
