RIK expresses its deepest sorrow for the sudden death of the President of the European Parliament, the Italian Social Democrat David Sassoli, according to a statement by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Foundation, Michael Michael Michael.
"The European family has lost a valuable member who worked with vision for the modernization of the European Parliament," it added.
David Sassoli leaves as a legacy his vision of a united Europe, acting as a beacon of peace and democracy.
