The implementation of measures by the government to support the low income strata (pensioners, unemployed and vulnerable groups), as well as to protect consumers "from promiscuity and obscenity", calls in a written statement by PEO.
The recent price increases announced by the Price Observatory on a large number of products, goods and basic necessities, as well as significant increases in building materials, are, according to the PEO, further burdening consumers and workers, who have already been hit by the effects of the economic crisis and the reduction in incomes caused by the pandemic.
In view of the above, the PEO calls, as stated in its statement, for the implementation of substantial measures to support the low-income strata,
