The Ministry of Defence has completed an in-depth examination of the proposals submitted by various countries for the supply of the National Guard with a system that will reinforce Cyprus' anti-aircraft umbrella, according to reliable information from CNA.
The issue of reinforcing Cyprus' anti-aircraft umbrella, according to the same sources, is high on the Ministry's agenda and is among its top priorities to close it as soon as possible.
Specifically, CNA understands that the evaluation of the candidate systems has progressed and the Ministry of Defence is currently in the final stage of making a final decision on the purchase of this system, which, with its range and in combination with the existing weapon systems of the AF, will cover the entire island.
