The Ministry of Finance is calling on the Health Insurance Agency (HIA) to immediately fill long-approved vacancies.
In a statement, in response to allegations that have come to light about understaffing at the Health Insurance Agency (HIA), the Treasury Department says it has long supported adequate staffing at the HIA and would be willing to consider creating additional positions at the HIA, after filling its vacancies in order to identify any new needs, but also after OAS has made the best possible use of its available staff, using the appropriate tools to carry out the necessary controls.
It notes that from 2016 to 2022 the total number of OAS posts has increased by 158% (from 52 to 134).
