The Judicial Committee of the Cyprus Handball Federation vindicated APOEL for its appeal against the validity of the match against Parnassos Strovolos, which was held on January 27, 2022, in the context of the 10th Matchday of the 1st Phase of the Men's Handball Championship and had found the team of Strovolos winning 26-23.
According to the Cyprus Handball Federation, the match was postponed and the blue and yellow team claimed that Parnassos used athletes who were registered in their squad after the date the game was originally scheduled.
The judiciary considered the appeal valid and awarded the match to APOEL 10-0, while punishing Parnassos by deducting two points.
