The Cyprus Swimming Federation (CFS) announced that it lost and mourned since Tuesday morning its honorary president Panicos Prokopiou, who passed away at the age of 81 and expresses its deepest condolences to the whole family and especially to his wife Iris Prokopiou and his daughters Eleni and Nikoletta.
In the relevant statement the CSCE stated that Prokopiou served the Federation until his last breath.
It added that he was one of the first water polo players in Cyprus and one of the first rowing athletes and at the same time took part in speedboat races and water skiing competitions.
