The film "Alcarras", by Spanish director Carla Simón, which tells the story of a Catalan peasant family facing eviction, has won the Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival, as announced by the President of the jury, M. Knight Schiamalan.
Schiamalan praised the film "Alcarras", a Spanish-Italian co-production, for outstanding performances by both children and actors in their eighth decade of life.
