The action of driver and former Formula 1 world champion Sebastian Fettel to display the flag of the pseudo-state on his racing helmet is denounced by the Cyprus Automobile Association in a statement.
As the sole representative of the International Automobile Federation (FIA) in the whole of Cyprus, the CAA has filed a complaint with the legal department of the Federation against Fettel, who is racing in the Bahrain Grand Prix with a helmet bearing an anti-war message and the flags of countries, including that of the Pseudo-state.
According to the statement, the Association condemns the incident and demands the immediate removal of the flag of the pseudo-state from the driver's helmet and the imposition of a penalty on both him and his team.
