A delegation of the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra (CCO) participated in the EXPO 2020 World Expo on Thursday, 24 February 2022, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, as part of the National Day of Cyprus.
In an announcement by the SOC, the Orchestra gave a concert with works by Cypriot composers, inspired by the Cypriot musical tradition, in the presence of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades.
The concert programme included works by Evagoras Karagiorgis "The Clay Dancer" (clarinet and strings), Solon Michaelides' "At the Wedding of the Village" for flute and strings and "Four Old Men" arranged by Alkis Baltas.
