The Cyprus-France aeronautical exercise "TALOS 2022", which is part of the implementation of the defence cooperation programme between Cyprus and France, is taking place today.
According to a statement by the Ministry of Defence, the training activity, which will take place in parts of the land and airspace of the territory of the Republic of Cyprus, concerns the virtual attack of targets by French fighter aircraft and the reaction of the National Guard's anti-aircraft systems.
The main purpose of the exercise is to test the air defence system of the Republic of Cyprus and to train the National Guard personnel in real conditions.
