On Thursday, the Council of Ministers approved the announcement of a tender for the purchase of the necessary equipment and consumables for children with diabetes.
In a statement after the Cabinet meeting, Health Minister Michael Hadjipantelas said that his Ministry, taking into account the needs and concerns of citizens and as a sign of practical support for children with diabetes, requested that the necessary steps be taken immediately to approve the purchase of the necessary consumables and equipment.
According to the Minister of Health, these consumables and equipment concern the administration of insulin through a transdermal pump (patch) to children up to 18 years of age and continuous glucose monitoring through a special sensor to children up to 13 years of age with Type 1 Diabetes.
