Closure of the Vasilikos Energy Centre as a reaction to the decision to transfer the asphalt concrete factories in the Kalavasos area, was decided on Thursday night, March 3, by the community leaders of the 9 communities of the Vasilikos area.
As the Mayor of Kalavasos and President of the Coordinating Committee of the nine communities of the Vasilikos region, Lefteris Fokas, told CNA about the meeting, "the community leaders decided to close the Vasilikos Energy Centre within the next ten days, at a date and time to be announced later".
He added that "before the community leaders there were two options.
