In a teleconference held on Monday, February 28, Euroleague decided to suspend the participation of Russian teams in both the first European league and the second, the EuroCup, as long as the war after Russia's invasion of Ukraine lasts.

The decision affects the three Russian Euroleague teams (CSKA Moscow, Zenit St. Petersburg and Unix Kazan), as well as Lokomotiv Kuban in the EuroCup.

The Russian teams may have a chance to play their remaining matches until the end of the regular season in case the war ends soon and there is time to hold the postponed matches.
