Tree falls occurred at dawn on three occasions in Paphos province due to strong winds blowing since midnight. In all three cases Fire Service crews intervened, cut down and removed the trees from the roadway.

The first cypress tree fall occurred on Athens Avenue just outside the Fire Department building. Firefighters using the proper equipment cut down the tree and cleared the roadway.

Two cypress trees also fell on a road between Geroskipou and Koloni in the coastal area. The trees hit AHK cables, which, however, were not cut. Crews from the AEC and the Fire Department rushed to the scene and removed the felled trees.

A tree was also uprooted in the village of Kannaviou and fell on the roadway. Firefighters cut down the tree and the road
