Cypriot banks are adopting a wait-and-see attitude amid the changing situation regarding the sanctions against Russia, with bank executives believing that the sanctions so far do not pose a particular problem.
As discussions revolve around Russia's blocking of the swift international trading system, Bank of Cyprus sources told CNA that a number of Russian banks are already on the sanctions list imposed by America and Britain.
"As far as the bank is concerned, we fully comply with the sanctions, which do not pose a particular problem for us as we have a large number of banks that we cooperate with," the same sources said.
