The Stock Exchange showed small gains on Wednesday, with the General Index closing at 86.85 points, recording a daily increase of 0.27%. The FTSE/CySE 20 Index recorded a similar rise, closing at 40.69 points. The daily turnover was €84,708.
In relation to the individual stock market indices, the Main Market rose by 0.30% and the Alternative Market by 0.09%. Hotels were down with a loss of 1.10% and the Investment Companies sector was down with a loss of 0.46%.
Vasilikos Cement Plant attracted the most investor interest with €54,115 (up 0.74% - closing price €2.74). This was followed by Logicom Public Ltd with €21,879 (no change - closing price €1.70), Bank of Cyprus with €3,566 (up 0.48% - closing price €1.04), Blue Island Plc with €2.430 (up 9.82% - t
