The coach of Shakhtar Donetsk's youth team was killed by Russian gunfire on Wednesday, the club's general manager Sergei Palkin announced.
"One of our members was killed yesterday. A coach in the youth team. A bullet killed him. Russia is killing Ukrainians, stop this madness. You cannot remain silent, because it will be a personal defeat for everyone and will be remembered by future generations," he said, as reported by international agencies.
In another development, Kiev Mayor and former heavyweight boxing champion Vitaly Klitschko, speaking to Reuters, stressed that Ukrainians have nowhere to retreat and will defend their homeland from Russian invaders.
Speaking via Skype, with his brother Vladimir, also a boxer, at his side, Vitaly Klitschko said tens of thousands are already being killed
