A second arrest involving a 51-year-old woman was made by the Paphos CID, following the arrest of a 34-year-old man for fraud and money laundering cases, which allegedly involved the invocation of a medical emergency.
According to a statement from the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters, a total of ten cases are being investigated against the two suspects, of which seven involve attempted extortion of money from a corresponding number of citizens, while three involve extortion of money from three citizens.
Among the three cases is the case of extorting a sum of money of 20.
