The arrest of a second suspect in the case of possession of two kilograms and 696 grams of cocaine and three kilograms and 300 grams of cannabis and possession of two pistols and a number of bullets, which were found yesterday, following an operation by the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), were advanced by members of the agency, while the first suspect, arrested during yesterday's operation, was taken into custody by court order.
According to a police statement, the 25-year-old, who was arrested yesterday by members of the YKAN, was brought before the Nicosia District Court on Monday morning, which approved a request by the Police and issued an eight-day detention order for the purpose of police examinations.
Then, at around 12:30, members of the YKAN, acting on a court warrant, proceeded to arrest a second suspect, a 54-year-old man, also for police purposes
