Maria Sakkari has made a perfect start to the Indian Wells tournament. The Greek champion, who is ranked No. 6 in the world, advanced to the third round of the tournament as she defeated Czech Republic's Katerina Siniakova (world No. 55) 6-3, 7-5.
In the first set, Sakkari broke Siniakova's serve in the eighth game and reached 6-4 with relative ease, while in the second set, the Czech put up a strong fight.
