The roads in the mountainous areas of the Mahara region, which earlier on Wednesday morning were closed to traffic, have now been opened, but only for vehicles with four-wheel drive or equipped with anti-slip chains, according to a police statement. Roads in the mountainous areas of Morphou remain closed.
In particular, the roads from Pedoula-Prodromos, Pedoula-Pinewood-Kakopetria, Kakopetria-Karvouna, and Kakopetria-Spilia-Kannavia remain closed.
