The importance of respecting the line of confrontation, gender equality in UN operations and working towards a mine-free Cyprus was highlighted by a meeting of contributors to the UN Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP).
According to a post by the UN Department of Peacekeeping Operations on Twitter today, a meeting of contributors to UNFICYP, which took place in Cyprus on 12 January, highlighted the importance of respecting the line of confrontation, gender equality in all operations and work towards a mine-free Cyprus.
In the same post, the Department welcomed Ireland's almost 30-year contribution to the Cyprus Peacekeeping Force.
