The readiness of the Republic of Cyprus to charter flights for the repatriation of Cypriot citizens from Ukraine was expressed by the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, Yannis Karousos, who was asked today, after the meeting of the Council of Ministers, whether the Ministry is ready to assist in the eventuality of a request to charter flights for the repatriation of Cypriot citizens in Ukraine.
"As was the case during the lockdown and repatriations, when the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works had a very important role to play in coordinating and organizing the repatriations, in cooperation with other ministries, such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Health and the Deputy Ministry of Tourism then, again if necessary we will be fully prepared to charter flights for any repatriation of any Cypriot citizens."
