A protest demonstration was organised by Ukrainian residents of Cyprus on the coastal front of Paphos. With placards bearing slogans such as "Cyprus remember 74", "stop swift for Russia", as well as "stop the war" and "stop Putin", Ukrainians of all ages expressed their grief over the Russian invasion of their country.
In a statement to CNA, young Vladislav, half Ukrainian and half Cypriot, said the goal of the protest is to cut the Russian state out of the global swift system so that there is some resistance, in the commercial and economic sectors, against the invader.
