President Anastasiades asked for a proposal from ministers to be put to the Council of Ministers on Wednesday for a one-time emergency aid to deal with the problems caused by low temperatures in mountainous areas.
According to a written statement by Deputy Government Spokesperson Nivi Parisinou, "President Nicos Anastasiades, taking into account the extraordinary weather conditions prevailing particularly in mountainous areas, but also the increase in the cost of fuel prices recorded worldwide, asked the Ministers of Finance and Interior responsible for the matter, to present a proposal to the Council of Ministers next Wednesday, so that, in addition to the allowance for mountainous areas, a one-off emergency aid is granted,
